September Mutts of the Month: Ivar & Odin

It’s been almost a year since Ivan and Odin – a pair of cute rough collies mixes – were adopted at the 5th Annual Mulligan’s Mutt Madness in 2023. The boys were adopted by three siblings who own a landscaping business in New York.

The dogs had a pack of fur friends to get to know when they came home, including a short-haired pointer named Bernice, an older dog named Nalo, and two other dogs named Muddy and Lobo. The puppies not only did great with the other dogs, they are also wonderful with children. “We are truly so thankful we adopted both of these boys as they are such a special addition to our family!” says Janna.

She reports that that their personalities are coming out more as time goes on. “Ivar, although he is smaller than Odin, likes to use his wits to outsmart and at times get his brother into trouble. We are learning to not let his cute little face fool us into thinking he is innocent!”

Janna adds, “We are forever grateful for the Mutt Madness event at Equip. Everyone who helps with the event year in and year out are AMAZING! They all truly care that these dogs are getting good homes and will be good fits. They make it very easy and provide a ton of resources, especially great if this is your first experience adopting a dog.”

Team TurfMutt is looking forward to Mulligan’s Mutt Madness 2024, which will be held Oct. 17 at Equip Exposition. We can’t wait to see which adoptable dogs end up with new forever families, just like Ivan and Odin did.
