Mulligan’s 5K Fun Run & Walk 2024 Steps Off at The TurfMutt Great Lawn

The TurfMutt Foundation’s Mulligan the TurfMutt was on hand (or paw, to be more specific!) on Wednesday, Oct. 16, to cheer on participants of the Mulligan 5K Fun Run and Walk 2024 sponsored by Active Dynamics. The runners and walkers braved the chilly morning to step off their Equip Exposition experience on the right foot.

Before the 5K started, Mulligan and her human Kris Kiser, president and CEO of the TurfMutt Foundation, unveiled the new signage for The TurfMutt Great Lawn. The TurfMutt Great Lawn is part of Louisville’s award-winning Waterfront Park on the Ohio River.

The signature space was renamed The TurfMutt Great Lawn as part of the Foundation’s $1 million, 10-year sponsorship of Waterfront Park. The sponsorship expands the Foundation’s ongoing investment with its longtime host city. The TurfMutt Great Lawn will showcase how managed landscapes enhance a community’s well-being and environmental health, and advance outdoor learning and living experiences.

The 5K started and ended at the TurfMutt Great Lawn. Then it trekked over the Ohio River on Louisville's Big Four® Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge.
